The Royal Nova Scotia Historical Society's monthly lecture will be taking place on January 15th at 7:30pm. As per usual, the lecture will be held in the Nova Scotia Archives at 6016 University Ave.
This months lecture is hosted by Dr. Afua Cooper of Dalhousie University. The lecture will focus on the political, social and cultural backdrop of the 1800 revolt of black loyalist in Sierra Leone who had migrated to the new colony from Nova Scotia in 1792 in search or freedom and better living conditions than those which they had found here.
